Profile of Dhanush
The metamorphosis of the one-film-old Dhanush from the gawky school student of 'Thulluvatho Ilamai' to the obsessed lover in 'Kaadhal Konden' has catapulted this young man to instant fame and attention. Let's get to know this youngster, who celebrated his birthday on July 28 and is doing his BCA second year through correspondence. He loves to dance, listen to music, play snooker and act, of course. His favourite food is Chinese and favourite holiday place is Chennai. Asked if he missed his student life, the answer is quick, "Of course!". While he says that his strength is his self-confidence, his weakness lies in his tendency to trust people easily. And he finds his anger, short-tempered nature irritating! On the type of roles he likes to do: "That of the anti-hero or the don". As for scenes that gave him trouble, his answer is in the negative. Asked if he was only doing off-beat roles, he said any role that suited him was fine, but the stress should be on a challenging character. What attracts him to a person? Sense of humour. Does he go by luck, talent or glamour? Talent! And the role he wants to do -- that of Vinod in 'Kaadhal Konden' in any language.
