This film Pollathavan released this Diwali along with many films starring some big guns. But, still, it stands atop all those films. An underdog, this Diwali, Pollathavan has got umpteen reasons to be on top!!

The film starts off in a dark place where Dhanush is seriously injured but still has bashed all the goondas and staggers along the road and rides home in his Bajaj Pulsar. For a moment, I thought that it was going to be another Pudupettai. But, I was proved wrong almost instantaneously. A flashback story where there is a flashback each for the Hero as well as the villain. No spoilers this time.. Cos, I have many things to tell, leave alone the story. Dhanush plays his part almost with ultimate ease. He is best suited for these types of roles. All his previous films which have been hits has him playing these type of a normal, simple guy roles which suits him best. This film is all about comedy , sentiment and a bit of action in the first half and complete action in the second half. Dhanush is an absolute treat to watch with his body language and amazing nonchalance in speech. The Bajaj Pulsar plays an important role in the film. It in fact forms the crux of the story.
Divya is something very different from the Ramya that she was in the previous films. She looks stunning in every scene but she can do well to shed some weight. Divya with the looks of a girl next door is beautiful to watch in most of the song sequences.
Next, Murali, as Dhanush's father plays a commendable role and needs to be lauded. Banupriya, as Dhanush's mother has been wasted in this film. Next, the comedy by Santhanam and Karunas really tickles every nerve. The dialogue of Karunas, "Machan!! Nee Kelen" still chimes in my mind. Santhanam too is good with his timing comedy with Dhanush. Next, Daniel Balaji once again plays the role of Villain although he is Sappa this time, cos everytime, Dhanush beats him in all ways. The other villain and his close associate are newcomers to this film industry and both of them do their job well... Anju, as the villain's wife makes a comeback into Kollywood. The stunt sequences are the best part in this film. Next, about the muzik, GV prakash has ensured that the film doesnt lose out in any area by giving some entertaining muzik in this film.
Minnalgal koothadum Mazhaikalam gets into your heart where as Engeyum Eppodhum by Yogi B gets into your mind... So, Vetri Maran is indeed victorious in his first film as director. Overall, a complete movie which is worth watching for all ages.

'Yaradi Nee Mohini' is the remake of a Telugu film titled 'Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule' starring Venkatesh and Trisha in the lead. The original version, which was a blockbuster, was directed by ace director Selvaraghavan. 'Yaradi Nee Mohini' has Dhanush and Nayantara in the lead roles. Mithran R. Jawahar, Selvaraghavan’s assistant director, directs the movie, while Selvaraghavan himself pens the script. The film deals with a love story set in the backdrop of a young man’s complex over his shortcomings. It tells you the success of true and strong love. Dhanush is a middle-class boy who repeatedly faces failure in his pursuit to get a job. Though he is qualified, he is lacking in communication skills and that costs him dear. Dhanush, who is afraid of failures, is facing a tough time. To make things worse, his relationship with his father (played by Raghuvaran) is becoming bitter day by day. Dhanush is frustrated. He needs a change, a big change indeed. Enters Nayantara, the young and smart professional girl. Dhanush meets her and instantly falls for her. Soon, he luckily gets a job in a software company, in which he has to work beside his lover. Nayantara however, refuses to accept his love and tells him that she is already engaged. Dhanush finds himself in a state of distress and loss. What happened to his love? Could he ever win the girl’s heart and redeem his life? What role his father has to play in his life? 'Yaradi Nee Mohini' has a gripping script with lot of twists and turns. The story is told in an entertaining and youthful manner. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music will be a real treat to the music lovers. It is an important movie for both Dhanush and Nayantara, as they are very much keen in maintaining their success with their previous ventures ('Polladhavan' and 'Billa'). Mithran R. Jawahar is working hard to make his debutant movie a memorable one. 'Yaradi Nee Mohini' is expected to hit the halls in the month of March.

After the Simbu-Nayan lip-lock controversial, Nayan feels more unsecured to stay in Chennai. At the same time she clinched a deal with Director Jawahar to act opposite Dhanush. Jawahar is a debutant director, who worked for Selvaragavan in couple of films. At the present Jawarhar plans to direct the movie with Dhanush & Nayan in the lead role. Regarding the Photo session very recently. Nayan was spotted in Chennai and she flew back after finishing the job in Chennai.

Nayan plans to act opposite to Dhanush, carries some message to Simbu it seems.

Tamil Movie Actor -Dhanush

Dhanush, the boy next door image broke the unwritten rule that the hero should be good looking and very smart. Dhanush hails from cinema family. His father Kasthoori Raja is versatile director, who is well known for making village movies. His brother SelvaRaghavan was the one who introduced Dhanush to cinema and he himself is an upcoming
director. Dhanush family background was well supporting him to his entry to the cinema. But, Dhanush was not interested in cinema, initially he wanted to complete his school studies and wanted to enter into college. Unfortunately, he was forced to act in cinema and his entry was at the right time and he became one of the sensational heroes of Kollywood with his debut movie Thulvatho Ilamai. His first movie paved him the way for the career and he had flying colors right form his start. The second movie for him was Kadhal Kondien which was directed again by his brother Selva Raghavan and the movie was a silver jubilee hit. This movie proved that Dhanush cold performs well in acting, dance as well as in fight sequences. His performance in the climax was really applaudable.
His next release was Thiruda Thirudi which was also a block buster hit. He gave a hat trick hit at his younger age itself. Dhanush fame reached nook and corner of Tamil Nadu due to his boy next door image. The hero who gave three hits continuously gave three flops at the same speed. His next three movies Puthukotailirundhu Saravanan, Sullan and Dreams ended up in utter flops. Dreams was directed by his own father Kasthoori Raja, but the movie had traces of Thulvatho Ilamai and the movie flopped. At the start of this year, his movie Devathaiai Kanden was released and the movie did a moderate business. He got married at the age of 22 itself. His wife’s name is Aishwarya, the daughter of Super Star Rajini Kanth. So, he became the son - in - law of Super Star, one of the prestigious positions in Tamil Nadu. Though, he was continuously he was giving flops his marriage ended in a nice fashion. For, this Diwali his movie Athu Oru Kanakalam is releasing after a hitherto of problems. Dhanush has pinned his hopes much on this movie because he is in bad need for a hit. The movie is directed by the ace cinematographer cum director Balu Mahendra and let’s sees whether this Diwali is turning out to be a success for this lean hero!
